Abstract
A thesis submitted to the Department of Library and Information Studies, UCD in 2010 focussed on the complete compilation of a descriptive catalogue for Ladybird books from 1940-1980 in an attempt to aggregate bibliographic information regarding this culturally significant collection that had previously been scattered across a variety of resources. A retrospective report of this thesis was published in CILIP Cataloguing and Index Issue 184, September 2016 which focussed on the theme of research related to cataloguing and metadata.
