Abstract
Due to the proximity of transmit paths Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems are vulnerable to crosstalk effects. This paper presents a comparison between direct learning architecture (DLA) and indirect learning architecture (ILA) for cancellation of crosstalk through digital pre-distortion. A theoretical background detailing the reasons for the improved performance of the DLA method is given. Measured results are presented showing the benefits of the DLA estimation method compared to the ILA estimation method in the presence of antenna crosstalk.
