Abstract
This essay recounts Sister Majella McCarron's work with Ken Saro-Wiwa to highlight the environmental destruction of Ogoni by Royal Dutch Shell. It outlines how Sister Majella McCarron met Maynooth Sociology student John O'Shea, when he interviewed her about media coverage of the Shell-to-Sea campaign. At her request he approached the Maynooth University Library regarding the donation of the death row letters, she had received from Saro-Wiwa. Details of the collection and usage are given.
