Abstract
Lecturers and researchers will be familiar with the literature of their discipline. They may be less familiar with the literature of the scholarship of teaching and learning in their discipline or indeed generally. Rapid growth in information relating to effective and innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies and other aspects of teaching and learning, alongside the increasing proliferation of electronic sources, may present challenges when searching for information. Additionally, lecturers, as researchers in their own discipline, will be interested in research-informed teaching. This poster will show you how to identify key information sources for sourcing information relating to the scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education, including books, journals, databases, and websites of professional organisations and associations. Tips on effectively using electronic resources, including contents alerts services will be provided.
