Unfinished Business? Equality and Family Diversity in the Wake of the Irish Marriage Referendum.
Irish Journal of Family Law, 21 (3).
pp. 59-69.
Abstract
Discusses whether, although Ireland has legalised marriage for same sex couples, nevertheless reforms are still needed to complete the initiative towards equality and diversity. Considers the case for recognising a range of family relationships, including cohabitation, lone parenting and civil partnership as well as marriage. Examines some legal disadvantages which non-traditional families still face in Ireland.
