Abstract

Many schools are proactive in addressing mental health issues. Young people in Kilkenny Comhairle na nÓg recently devised an imaginative framework to support schools in this important work. They followed this up with a pilot project in selected schools. "The evidence from participants in the pilot project points to the effectiveness of the framework in supporting schools to address wellbeing issues in particular the contributions of the students on the focus group interviews confirm the relevance and immediacy of the initiative concluded a recent evaluation.
