    Abstract

    Presents the study "How to Sample Behaviour and Emotions of Traders: A Psychological Approach and an Empirical Example," by Patric Andersson and Richard Tour, that describes an empirical approach called experience sampling (ESM) based on psychological methodology, which assumes that individual behaviour must be studied within its natural environment. Different techniques of ESM as well as its advantages and limitations; Details of the pilot study on securities trading including its rationale and data gathering procedure; Assessment of mood fluctuations and trade outcomes of the trading day.
