Abstract
The article suggests that medicine is an applied science that can give a relevant perspective for the understanding of entrepreneurship. It is said that medicine shows how an apparently rational theory can turn out to be just a myth. One author argued that in the field of entrepreneurship, there has been a growth of ignorance. It states that one piece of evidence of the growth of ignorance is the emergence of mythical concepts on the establishment of policy priorities. According to the author, a comparison between the fields of entrepreneurship and medicine indicates how progress in understanding might be made. It suggests that other lessons from medicine that can be applied to entrepreneurship include the functioning of the human body and improving a patient's health.
