Abstract
This Special volume of the Revista de História Comparada is resultant of two events organised at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro about Motherhoods in Premodern Societies between 2023-24. It counts with the editors’ presentation and two peer-reviewed articles on Ancient Greece, one in Portuguese and another in Spanish. The next volume of the journal 19.2 will be second volume of the event, with articles on Ancient and Medieval Rome, including another presentation by the editors and a book review. These aims to expand the conversations and studies about motherhood in the premodernity proposing a variety of methodologies.
