Abstract
An attempt is made to determine whether Irish business students require their instructors to act on the precepts of Dale Carnegie (1953). Specifically, do they distinguish between the attributes of instructors that they like and those that they perceive to be effective? Irish business students seem to require instructors to win them over as friends before they may be influenced. This is in contrast to at least some studies.
