Developed at Maynooth University through CBEC, with funding from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), the National Bioeconomy Education Database maps 186 records across courses, resources, initiatives and organisations in Ireland. Data collection covered March-July 2026, with an analytical cut-off of 31 July 2026. Excel, Power BI and ArcGIS were used to organise and verify the data, develop interactive reporting and map educational provision. The database is hosted on institutional SharePoint by BiOrbic, with reporting and mapping outputs available through Power BI and ArcGIS Online. The project aims to improve the visibility of existing resources, identify audience and geographic gaps, and support future bioeconomy education planning.
